Q. What is Super Suppers?

Your answer to "What's for Dinner?" We are a Take n' Bake Studio Kitchen which is a healthy, easy way to get dinner on the table. Everything is approved by a Registered Dietitian and all entrees are Trans Fat Free.

Q. What size are the entrees?

Our full size entree has 6 pieces of meat that are FDA serving size (casseroles feed 6-9). Our regular size entree has 3 pieces of meat that are FDA serving size (casseroles feed 3-4). Single servings serves 1 person.

Q. If I want to make my own meals, what's the difference between Walk-in and Appointments?

You are welcome to make your meals at designated times (see the front page of the website for hours) so long as a private party isn't scheduled (see calendar for up to date information). If you walk-in without an appointment, you are welcome to choose from the entrees available to make that day. We do our best to have all items available, however some entrees, such as our braided breads (as it takes 2 hours to proof the dough) are only available with appointments only. To help save time and ensure that the entrees you want to make are available, please call for an appointment.

Q. Can I bring my children to make meals?

We love children and know that many of our customers have children. However, due to health code restrictions, children under the age of 12 cannot attend a session unless it's a dedicated Family Day. On those days shown on the webbsite Calendar, children 4+ can come with an adult experience the wonderful world of Super Suppers. Learn more under our services section or call store for details.

Q. What do I need to bring with me to make my meals?

Not much – we make this as easy as possible for you. We provide all the pans and bags needed for your entrees and fun appetizers and drinks. You might want to bring a cooler or laundry basket to carry your meals home.

Q. Can I get my entrees to go?

Yes, you can! We always have entrees, sides, appetizers, desserts, and breakfast items prepared in our Grab n' Go coolers and freezers—ready for you to pick up and heat to serve. They can be ready for dinner tonight or put in the freezer to enjoy later.
And, you can register online for a pick-up order or call our store to place an order. If you need us to leave out the onions, we will! You can select a designated time for you to come by and pick up your entrees.

Q. How much time does Super Suppers save me each month?

Super Suppers saves 20 to 30 hours each month using us 3 times per week. We eliminate the hours you would spend trying to figure out what to cook (menu planning), grocery shopping (all you do now is buy pantry staples and drinks), reading recipes, prepping ingredients, running back to the grocery store for a recipe ingredient you forgot, cleaning up your prep area, and in many cases, you get to throw away or recycle the pan!

Q. How much does Super Suppers cost?

Prices average $4 a serving when buying in bulk. Many of our customers tell us they save an average of $75 on their monthly grocery bill by using Super Suppers 3 times per week.

Q. What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept most major credit cards, checks and cash.

Q. Does Super Suppers offer gift certificates?

We sure do! Our gift certificates can be bought online through our Perrysburg website www.ssperrysburg.com or through our Perrysburg store and can be redeemed at our Perrysburg location. It's the perfect gift!

Q. I have allergies and other dietary restrictions. Can I use Super Suppers?

Certainly as all entrees can be made custom to your liking.  We suggest that you call our store and ask to speak with our Allergen expert. You can talk either via phone or make an appointment to discuss your dietary needs and we will be happy to suggest selections for you.

Q. Do you ever heat food for pick-up or delivery?

Yes we do have catering available. We have an official menu, however we have over 1000 recipes at our disposal, so if you don't see something you're interested in, call and ask for our Catering expert and she'll be happy to customize a menu for you.  We can either heat it for pick-up, or deliver and set it up for you.  Please keep in mind that most of our items are easy Take n' Bake with heat and serve instructions. You could save a lot of money if you have friends and family to help heat and serve for a wedding, graduation, etc.

Q. Do you offer cooking classes?

We offer cooking classes for both kids and adults. Ours are unique as you can work hands on with the Chef as much or as little as you'd like.  You can also bring in your own alcoholic beverage to enjoy. Please note you also need to bring an opener as Super Suppers is unable to provide according to law. You'll sample the food that you make and take the recipes home!

Q. What is your event cancellation policy?

If customer provides 24 hours notice of cancellation 100% of the original class payment (if less than 24 hours 50% of payment) can be transferred to future event or in-store credit (refund not offered). If no notice provided 100% of the original payment is forfeit. Super Suppers reserves the right to cancel a tasting the morning of event if less than 10 participants. In the event this occurs original payment can be transferred to any other class. Only clients that paid full value directly to Super Suppers can request a refund if store cancels class.

Q. What is your policy for cancelling a tasting when I booked with Groupon (or similar certificate)?

If customer provides 24 hours notice of cancellation 100% of the original certificate value can be transferred to another tasting and be redeemed for full value - AS LONG AS THAT EVENT IS HELD PRIOR TO THE EXPIRATION OF THE CERTIFICATE. If it takes place after expiration then only the amount you paid for the Groupon will be redeemable and any extras are forfeit. If no notice provided Super Suppers will still honor the cost paid, but certficate must still be used for a tasting only and any extra promotional value is forfeit. Super Suppers reserves the right to cancel a tasting the morning of event if less than 10 participants. In the event this occurs original payment can be transferred to any other tasting for full value, but must still be used for a tasting only. 

 

Satisfaction Guarantee: If there is a meal that Super Suppers prepared for you that is incorrectly made, we will replace that item with a Signature Entree at no cost.

All About Food

Q. What is the best way to defrost my entrees?

The proper way to defrost any frozen food is to store it in your refrigerator for 24 - 48 hours so it can thoroughly defrost. Defrosting food by leaving it on the kitchen counter at room temperature has the advantage of speed, but it also has the disadvantage of allowing for bacteria and spoilage, so we do not recommend this method. We do not recommend defrosting in the microwave, but this is only second-best and should be done with care. Over-microwaving can cause the edges of the food to overcook.

Most entrees can cook just a bit longer if they're frozen or partially frozen. Cooking instructions are printed on the food labels.

Q. How long can a thawed entree stay in the refrigerator?

Completely thawed seafood dishes should be stored in the refrigerator no longer than 24 hours before cooking. Other completely thawed entrees can be stored up to 2 days.

Q. How long can an entree stay frozen?

We recommend no longer than 2-3 months.

Q. Do entrees come with side dishes?

Many entrees come with an accompanying side. We also offer in our Grab n' Go freezers and refrigerators numerous side dishes and desserts—offering complete meals for you and your family. Check with your local Super Suppers location for details.

Q. Is nutritional information provided?

Yes. We provide nutritional information for each of our entrees and side dishes. You can find the nutritional information on our Web site for the monthly entrees. These nutritionals are calculated by a registered Diet Tech with the American Dietetic Association who has a BA in Foods and Nutrition and has 29 years of experience in the food and nutrition industry.

Q. Can I substitute some ingredients for others?

You may substitute ingredients if they are available in other entrees that month. If you would like to take the meat out of a dish, you may substitute any vegetable or starch from any of the other prep bars. If you would like to substitute chicken for pork in our monthly entrees, please call ahead and tell us so we have enough chicken for your meals.

Q. Can I use Super Suppers entrees if I have a severe food allergy?

We do not guarantee that any of our entrees will be safe for any allergy. Call your local Super Suppers store and they will be happy to work with you to help determine the ingredients in each entree.

Q. What options do you have for vegetarians?

Each month we include several dishes that are either vegetarian or can easily be changed to become vegetarian. For instance, in many of our dishes, the meat can be left out and substituted with vegetables, beans or a starch such as rice. We also have an extensive vegetarian menu that we can assemble for you. Q. Does Super Suppers work for me if I am on a special diet such as Atkins, South Beach or Weight Watchers?

 

 

We offer nutritionals for all of our entrees so you can integrate them into your lifestyle, no matter what that may be. While we do not design our menus around any of these diets because our meals are designed for the whole family, many of our entrees can be eaten by those on different diets.
